The reason weight loss seems so impossible is because of the impossible expectations we put on our body and health. Most of the time, you focus on what you can’t eat. You think of eating for weight loss means you have to eat things you don’t like or can’t afford.
Definition of diet:
The deliberate selection of food to control body weight or nutrient intake.
the foods eaten, as by a particular person or group
such a selection or a limitation on the amount a person eats for reducing weight

When it comes to weight loss or should I say fat loss, we want to lose it not now but right now!
I’m here to tell you, there isn’t a healthy or safe, quick way to lose weight. You have to come to terms with that fact. This is the point where you need to stop complaining and whining, get up and do what it takes! You can’t take the easy way out and expect awesome, long term results. Again, you will get out what you put in.
Ask yourself “why do I want or need to lose weight?” You have to want it for the right reasons. If you do it because your boyfriend wants you to or because you want to look like that model, or because your son or daughter came at you with the fat comment, you are setting yourself up for failure. You have to want it for yourself, for your health. You have to love yourself enough to know that you deserve to be healthy, to look good and feel good, but you have to work your ass off! Literally!

I looked up one of my favorite celebrities. I once admired her to the point where I used to keep a picture of her close by to help motivate me into getting off my butt and making good decisions so I can look like her someday. I can tell you this right now, Beyonce’s  body does not get or stay the way it is just because she has money in her pocket. Maybe she does spend quite a bit more on having someone train her or help her but guess what? Beyonce is the one who has to work her ass off.  Please excuse me for being a bit harsh but I’m tired of people ( including myself) complaining and coming up with excuses to why I can’t lose weight and keep it off.
I’m going to give you an idea of what Beyonce does on a regular basis to keep her body looking good.
She has her breakfast of course. ( DON’T SKIP BREAKFAST!) Food is fuel. You need it to get through the day like your vehicle needs fuel to get you where you want it to take you. Your body is no different.
After breakfast, she does a half hour of cardio followed by 45 minutes of free weights. She runs 4 miles in 40 minutes, 6 times a day. She does yoga once a week for strength, conditioning and toning.
She also adds in 2 of her favorite activities, biking and dancing for burning extra calories. She avoids red mean, bread and alcohol. She eats plenty of veggies, is on a low fat, low carb and low calorie diet. She is mostly focused on cardio.
Cardio is where you will burn most of your fat, especially in the abdominal area. Sometimes she turns on her favorite song and does bicep curls during the whole song to burn out.
This rigorous fitness routing and disciplined eating habits really does require a lot of motivation. But what’s it worth to ya? It will take sacrifice and a lot of mental strength and you have to push yourself.
One thing I would suggest you do is focus on adding things to your diet. Try a variety of different fruits and vegetables. It seems like I see a different kind of apple I never seen or heard of before. Adding variety in your meals gives you a bigger variety of nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins and many other things your body needs to get you through your day.  A fruit smoothie is a good idea. Throw a few different pieces of fruit in a blender with some ice, sometimes I add a touch of honey for energy and also flax seed. Mix it up and voila! You have a delicious healthy snack or it’s even good for breakfast. (DON’T SKIP BREAKFAST!)You can’t forget about the water. Keep yourself hydrated. Being dehydrated robs the best of you. It drains your energy and you struggle trying to get through your day and driving yourself nuts trying to figure out why you’re dragging.
Don’t skip out on the physical activity! I like to call it physical activity because most people don’t like the idea of exercising just like no one likes the word diet. Physical activity isn’t just running and doing extremely vigorous exercise. Walk the dog, race the kids, play hide and seek. Jump rope, turn your music on and dance! Take a zumba class. My favorite physical activity is Turbo Kick. I enjoyed it so much I became a Turbo Kick Instructor. Even cleaning around the house can make you break a sweat. Getting them arms up to dust the fan or clean the mirror. My arms were sore after I manually cleaned my carpet with the Woolite rug stick.
What it all boils down to is this.. stop wasting your money on fad diets, crazy diet pills and all the other miracle offers that are out there. They will tell you and show you exactly what you want to hear to get your money. Don’t fall for it. Take a deep breath, look yourself in the mirror and say “You deserve this!” Like my favorite quote or saying says
“God wants your availability rather than your ability. “
You don’t have to run 6 miles in 40 minutes like Beyonce. You don’t even have to wish and dream your body could look like hers. We are all unique.
Do it for health, strength and for the love of yourself. You deserve it!
